PACIFICA, CA — Pacifica received approximately 6 inches of rain during Sunday's storm, closing Linda Mar Beach for at least three days.

The storm caused the city's sewer system to overflow and send wastewater into the Pacific Ocean via a bypass at the Linda Mar Pump Station.

The city is required to keep Linda Mar Beach, also known as Pacifica State Beach, closed for a minimum of three days and test the water. Results will be sent to the San Mateo County Health Department, the city said in a news release.
