Taking my little one on the inflatable tomorrow. Thinking Pillar Point Harbor, HMB. We’re not going to get close to the jaws; just staying inside and more paddling than fishing.
Still wondering if there’s anything cool to catch to show a 4 year old. Bait? Croaker? Any recommendations?

There are fish inside the harbor.  Head towards the jaws and veer right along the rock wall.  I’ve caught some RF there in the past.  I’ll be heading a tad further manana 😉.  Good luck 🤙
We're gonna need a bigger boat!

To start the morning off the fog was extremely dense making for very poor visibility until almost 10am. As carefully as possible we went north out of the jaws  up to 80ft and only went over one ball of bait. I didn’t find any luck catching anchovies on my sabiki so I spent some time looking for bottom fish. No one reported to have caught salmon but some found rockfish. Of a few nice fish on my stringer was a 20” Vermillion caught in 60 ft. I am looking forward to having that one for dinner tonight!

Slow for me as well…. Fog was dangerously thick early on, but the boats coming outta the harbor took their time due to the limited vis.  Couple hours trolling w/ no salmon bites.  Jigged up some smelt for bait and limited on keeper lings.  Added a pair of black RF and that was all she wrote…

Nice verm!

We were going for a dinner at a friend's place so I figured keep it tame and save the bait for the crowds hitting HMB for salmon..

Ended up taking my son to Walmart to return his bike. Will use the money to buy Tesla stock. Just kidding - going to upgrade to a better bike.
