Big Sur and Monterey Report

Fished with Bob Neil and Eric at one of my secret spots down in Big Sur for the wide open rockfish rodeo. 17 lb ling hitchiked on a fat blue making the ling record for the day. An 8 lb copper grabbed my 7 inch purple/black, a personal record for me. Both beautiful fish! Big diamond jigs with a single tail trailer are lots of fun down there.
Guided Toren and his son Matt out of Monterey trying to find some flatties, to no avail. I did see a spearfishermen pull a 25-30 lber out of Del Monte. Everythings late this year and I'm just waitin for the halibut bite to go off!

right on the big sur trip, i so want to get back down there. a harder now that i am in mill valley. i will try very soon. i am still wating to here about work. i think by next week the flatties will starte to hit the moon phase will be better, well thats my two cents.
