Trayed baits and squid .

Alex
^^^ this would be good ^^^  But I know there is a freezer requirement here.

Basically any tackle to fish the local water (and you already know what that is).  The lingcod/rockfish jigs that are already in there were perfect, along with the yakattack accessories.  Hooks, sinkers, and lines would be good too, but I dont think you need to carry extensive inventory.  I dont recall seeing sabikis and squid jigs, so those would be nice too.  Some of your staff do not know about the fishing tackles, so some educations would be nice (or at least a read material by the counter so they can refer to it).

And of course, if somebody ask about tackle, most of them would also ask about where to go (or where is the hot bite).  So it would be a good idea to point out which direction to go.  Again, this is probably just a short education/reading material for your staff.

We now carry sabiki and weights. Line is very specific to the angler so I didnt want to carry them.

LOL All of the staff here have gone through training and once I start talking fishing it goes way overtheir head. To simplify things I just tell them that swimbaits are good and add squid o the feathers lol. Squid jigs are coming soon. Its my fault I want to turn this shop into more fishing. In the end I just want to make sure the staff know everything about kayak gear lol. I told them most anglers will ask for something specific. Also, as a business we can't explain the laws as it can be turned around on us but they do tell customers for rockfish some of the spots.

Im working on it. The shop is new to the fishing world. Im trying to change that. Thanks for the feedback!

Do you guys still have dive stringers and rope?  Bought my last one there at the last tourney I went to when I couldn't find mine, and was very convenient!

Yes we carry both the normal dive stringers and the heavy duty ones

In this case, backorder may be preferred...
