I used to take him pretty often, but he preferred to be up front with me so he could lick the fish and I would leave the mirage drive at home.
A friend has a dog which loves to lick off pike when we're ice fishing.

I take Brodie once in a while but only on brackish or fresh water areas. Sea Lions can snatch a dog off your kayak when on the salt and that's it. He wears a PFD which is very useful if he goes overboard and you need to haul his soggy butt back on board! He is really into fishing and will bark and get agitated if the rod twitches, let alone bring a fish in and the whole area will hear about it! What he really loves, however, is the beach time and the chuck it ball launcher. I think sometimes the only reason he goes on these trips is to get to the beach and ball session!

Nice nice dog photo of your dog. One of the best I've ever seen. Good visual framing.
