Hi! I am new to kayak fishing.  Based in SF.  Tried fishing a few nearby reservoirs in a Hobie revolution.  Looking forward to safely getting out on the ocean.

Thanks for all the great info here.

Welcome!  What’s your next step?  Maybe pick a good weather day, morning window, light wind, 3-5kts, slow to medium tide, and get in that sfbay reservoir and feel it out.  Peddle around in Richardson bay Sausalito or the harbor at miller knox in Pt Richmond.  Don’t forget to bring a rod and a little bait.  See ya’ on da wattah.   :smt006

Welcome. A Hobie Revo is certainly a seaworthy kayak...

Thanks everyone!  Next steps?  I'll try just as you suggest Eddie.  Have done a short pedal in the Bay in optimal conditions, launched at Crissy field,  and felt pretty comfortable.    Had a little success catching Kokanee in the reservoirs,  would love to go for ocean salmon at some point.
