Tides and weather looked good so went out to Tomales Bay today for the first time. It turned out to be a good morning, conditions wise to be on the water. Trolled a frozen herring for a while south of hog island.  Found some bait balls so jigged up some live herring to drift. hooked something good  then lost it halfway in. About an hour later pulled in a 27" halibut. Fished to about 1:00 then the wind started kicking up so headed in with my line out and a 28" striper  came aboard to say goodbye (I did release him though). Half a Dozen kayakers and a few power boats out there this morning, not allot of action for the amount off pressure. A thirty something sea bass was caught and a couple other halibut, kind of a slow day but worth it being on the water. tides looking better the next few days.
