Born and raised in the Bay area, have always fished from the shore until recently...  Had been borrowing a buddies wilderness systems tarpon 120 untlil I got the Vibe Shearwater 125 2 years ago and have been loving it. Keep exploring new waters and adventures and look forward to NCKA collaborations!! Love Rock fishing and all that you can catch. Halibut is my next challenge!!

Wow that’s a beautiful ling you got there. Do you find that swim baits or natural baits are better for those?
It’s called fishing, not catching. Coming back alive means you had a great day. Coming back with fish is a great bonus on top of a great day.

Thought swim baits until this past weekend got my limit on my "halibut" set-up was slow trolling a herring

Wow that’s amazing to limit out on halibut like that. I haven’t ever had much success with swim baits, maybe I wasn’t using them right or in the right spots. I feel like the smell of fresh baits are more enticing to fish, but I’m still kinda new to rock fishing, even though I’ve been fishing since I was a kid.
