Its about this time of year I start thinking about albacore and head over to Eureka to pick up a few of them when there selling off the boat. I wish I could get my hands on some loins here in the bay. Any ideas where I can pick some up? Maybe Berkley fish market. I Just spotted this post of a charter going out this weekend but I'll miss it due to work.

Hey Cam,
I would like to know what you find out in your research as I love fresh albacore and have never been to hook up on a boat.

Several boats in Eureka, $4.50/lb + $5 to loin it out.  I bought a couple last weekend.

Road trip!

There was a boat called the Preamble out of SoCal that would stop in HMB and sell whole albacore. That was a few years ago, so not sure if they're still around.
May the fish be mighty and the seas be meek...
