Hi guys.  Anybody out there in the Bay area who does furniture refinishing?  I have a small hardwood kitchen dining set that needs to be redone.  I'm not looking to change the look or color.  It just needs "freshening" up.  The finish is starting to wear off on the seats and the top of the table has a few small dings.  I have attached a picture.  Not looking to spend a bundle but I would rather get this one refinished than buy a lesser quality new one.  I have neither the skills or tools to do it myself.  Anybody interested?  Probably worth 3 to 5 hundred bucks to get it done.

You can do a lot of this on the cheap your self.  I assume ti is is a wood table and not a Laminate?  If it is wood, try some Homer Formby furniture restorer. I t has saved my but on some stuff.  Also if you want to fill the dents and dings. flip the table over and sand the bottom to collect some of the saw/sanding dust to mix in with the wood putty to help color match it. You tube has videos on this, and it doesn't cost much. If I were closer I would NCKA express what I have to you. But I am in Washington now.

Roney’s in San Leandro just did a great job on a dining room table for me.  Great job and reasonable prices.

I have done a lot of wood working and restoration on some beautiful pieces. It’s a hard work. Especially chairs, as they don’t have the same simple shape of a tabletop. The process is to apply Citristrip to melt the old varnish. Use a knife and scour pads to remove the goo. Let dry. Sand. Paint.

If you just want to touch it up, then forget about this process. Just use a fine (200/300 grit) sandpaper on the areas that need help and reapply varnish or paint. It won’t look as good as the above process, but will be much less work. However, touch ups are less forgiving.
My 2 cents
