3/27 - my son and I launched around 8am from the  Alameda rockwall. After about 2 hours I hooked a 28” Halibut. I used frozen Herring from Fisherman’s Point in San Mateo that I cast netted a couple months ago. I only caught 4, but it was a pretty cool experience to catch a Halibut with one of them.

Can’t wait to head back!

Nice catch! I actually saw you guys going out as I was returning.  Way to go and make the most of the herring!

Heck yeah!

I also was out there, spent about five hours for a few scratched baits. Was trolling and drifting and drifting and trolling anchovies in the fleet, hooked nothing, was still a beautiful day.

Congratulations on the nice fish!
