I'm a new fisherman and kayaker just getting started. Just wanted to say hi and introduce myself. Still gathering all my gear and learning as much as I can through YouTube. Live in Oakland, about 15 minutes from the Alameda Rockwall.

Be safe and definitely have a friend with you on your first few trips if you are as new as you say you are.  You tube makes it look easy but you will learn 100 times faster from being otw than you will clicking videos
