Hey all. I'm new to NCKA and apologize if this is not the right board to post this question.

Anyone currently using a Lowrance HDS Live unit on their Old Town Autopilot? If so, How did you wire it up and what thru hull kit (Hobie, Wilderness Systems or Yak Attack) did you use on the bow hole?

The Old Town factory pre drilled thru hull kit was designed for Humminbird units and too small for other manufacturer plugs to fit. I've been using a Lowrance HDS Live 7 on my AP136 since January and would like hide the transducer and power cabling inside the hull now.

I was anti drilling into my kayak when I first got the HDS Live unit so I used sticker mounting bases with zip ties to secure the transducer cabling on the deck/side of my AP136. I have since changed my mind and am installing an 8 switch Yak Power system with navigation lights, SAE plugs and Boonedox groovy landing gear. Thank you!

A bunch of the streamers just got autopilots, they might have some videos on setting it up.

I've spent hours upon weeks finding and watching every possible YouTube video related to Autopilots and my question but have been unsuccessful. I even signed up for Facebook to join Old Town Sportsman Autopilot owners group without any luck either.

Unfortunately, The streamers who recently got free Autopilots from Old Town to promote don't know much about the product or rigging it other then "Ooh look at this.. This is the best.. Click on my link to buy it and support the channel.." Blah blah. They didn't fork out $5K+ ($3999 plus tax, shipping and a 100Ah LiFePo4 battery) for one and will be using whatever product that is given to endorse.

The most educational videos I saw about Autopilots and rigging the Lowrance units was from a gentleman who was not a professional streamer but a kayak enthusiast and bought it himself. I'm sure someone here will come up with something.

Looking forward to picking up that 20" custom crab pot soon. Thanks poopsmith!
