Daiwa Lexa. Had it for a year so far and going strong. Love the line counter too. I don’t know if they’re rated for hard core submersion in salt water but so far holding up nice.

This thread is about fly reels, however I am addicted to line counters on conventional reels.

Seigler has a salt fly reel option.  Well made stuff, I have a conventional sgn and it is a beast.

You're still talking about this, huh?  I still appreciate the suggestions since I now have a Granddaughter trying out kayak fly fishing.

I went with the advice from Headwaters and bought an Orvis Hydros.  Cheap, dependable, sealed, and did I say cheap?  I won't spend a week sobbing onto my pillow if I lose it.
