Anyone out there own one?

I own two of Bixpy Jets (one in Sacramento and one in Los Angeles) and three batteries.

I installed the bixpy rudder on my last yak but never pulled the trigger. It woulda been a sweet foot controlled motor!. Ended up flipping it for my outback which I'm stoked on.

I purchased it last year. So far, I am very happy with it. I purchased the pedal adapter and use it mostly to get back after a day and when I’m feeling lazy. I like that it weighs only ten pounds with the battery and it plug and play. Hate the price. Lol

My wife had knee pains during Hobie Mirage pedaling convinced us to get a Bixpy Jet.
She uses it with a Mirage adapter in our Hobie Oasis tandems.  It generates similar power as she was pedaling and make our fishing trips much more enjoyable.

I have a rudder mounted Bixby Jet, it allows you to use your mirage drive for a boost of power while bounce balling for halibut.  I bought mine through a pre production sale three years ago for $100 off.  You can troll all day and only use less than half the battery power and still power up for the ride home.

What size battery do you have with the Bixpy?

It's the same battery it came with.  I used it a couple of times per week and it seems to be holding up fine the replacement cost for a new battery is $500.00 I think it has a five year life

What flavor of Hobie do you have? I'm tempted to add this to my AI. I can usually get by just with sail and legs, but once in a while, it would be nice to have that little something extra...
