I was wondering what was best method to tie down your 180 drive for beach launch/ landing.  I was about to put a ring on the front wall of the yak ( next to the sail post) and leash it there but decided to check to see what other revo owners were doing first, and if there was a preferred method.   thanks in advance.

I loosened the bungee that is supposed to hold one of the pedals so that it can go over both when the drive is laid flat. Always leash your drive though! Don’t trust any rigging when your being rolled and capsized.  :smt011

I do exactly this, I leash with aluminum carabiner from home depot.  If it rusts, i just replace it for $1.

Here's how I had it when i had a hobie. May not apply with the newer drives and yaks, but might give you some ideas.

The hobie drive dimple would slot nicely into the sail mast hole. The drive was pretty much always tethered by carabiner to a zip tied loop on the drive. If doing surf launch/landings, I would use the nylon belt buckle to secure it over the top to prevent flopping and danglings in the event of turtling. It was quite solid with the strap over top,

In the first pic, i believe it's only held by the dimple and bungie.. and not boogie board zip tether looks like.

Leash it anywhere to the yak, always!  I never strapped it down or anything and when I did eat shit on the landing, the drive would just fall out and act like an anchor so the kayak doesn't get sucked back out to sea.   :smt044

I put an eyelet in the front upper corner of the footwell .Use kayak specific pop rivets on the eyelets. Not the ones you can get a Home Depot or Harbor Freight. Use a good quality Caribiner https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07PNGMF41/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1  and a line that won't corrode or rot. I use sailing line from West Marine.
Depending on the year it was made either stick the fins under the seat and a pedal in the drivewell or strap it upfront over the hatch

thanks for all the feedback guys.  I think I will just put a ring next to the sailing mast area and tie it there and then use the bungee to hold it in place.  take care everyone.
