Does anyone use the rod balancers for Sturgeon or other bait fishing, and if so any feedback?

I do for sturgeon, rod sometimes moves or falls in fast current. They work pretty well make it easy to pull the rod on a nibble.

I use them when fishing in the delta for stripers and sturgeon.  Works well for pole balancing a casting rod.
