Hi folks,

For two weeks in September I'm taking my family up to the Bay Area in our travel trailer for a wedding and a little vacation.  We'll stop in the Santa Barbara area the first night, then Santa Cruz the next two nights before finding a place in the bay area to park our trailer.  So if anyone has suggestions, I'd like to hear them.

My real question is where to go for a week after the wedding.  We'll be in San Francisco until Sep. 16th and we don't have to be back hom in San Diego until the following weekend.  Ideally, I'd like to find a lake or slow moving river with warm, clean water so my daughter can swim.

So far we've come up with Sequoia NP, Kings Canyon NP, and Russian River.  We'd really like a lake that's on the way home.

thanks,
Nate

Lake Del Valle in Livermore - nice shaded camp sites right next to a small stream that leads you to the main lake. You can catch some blue gills and small mouths in the stream itself. There is a swim area right next to the camp grounds. The lake has a little bit of everything - bluegills, crappie,SMB,LMB, stripers, trout and catfish. The lake (when full) is about 4 miles long and has a few coves you can get into if the wind becomes a factor. There is a tackle / bait shop right next to the launch ramp.
