Not much of a kayak report, this was done from a drift boat with a motor  :smt002

Fished the sac river in Redding today for C+R trout. Saw some salmon on redds and tons of trout. Fished egg imitations for a steady pick of trout. Lots of fun!

Weather started a little rainy, then sunny, then windy and cold. I don’t think the fish appreciated the quick weather changes very much.

Someday I would like to do a float up in the area with the kayak, but have to do some more research for that.

Anyhow, here’s some pictures.

memories... just moved from the area...love the views of Mt Shasta and Mt Lassen! Looks like the old cutbows.

Yes went with a guide to learn the water and techniques that are used in the area. Came away with a good understanding of how and why as well as where.

Nice fish!  It's on my list of places to go,  just have to haul the yak up I-5.  A guide is a good investment.
