Hello all.  I’m glad to have found this forum.  I’m relatively new to kayak fishing and fishing in CA in general.  I often feel like I have no idea what I’m doing...but I still enjoy trying.  Hoping to learn how to be less of “a newb” from this group.  -Eric

Welcome! Check out the safety first section if you haven't already. PG is a great place to start. Usually calm, easy launches, and fish close to shore. The only downside is that it is pretty heavily fished so the fish tend to be small.

Welcome. And you're lucky, since I always feel like I have no idea what I'm doing...

Welcome Eric! PG is one of my favorite places, and I was just there last week, and never been skunked there on a kayak.

Agreed, rockfish can be on the smaller side, but there are unlimited sand dabs at 140+ feet everyday.

PM me if you need any advice or a fishing buddy.
