I did a little research on anchors recently, and it sounds like modern designs such as Rocna and Mantus vastly outperform the older stuff like Lewmar. The prices for Mantus are ridiculous though.

I've never really looked into this style because I've never seen one at 2.5#, the others start at around 9#.  About 90% of the time I've gotten by with an old 5# dive weight and a bit of chain.  Also did look at those Mantus prices. :smt044
