Hey Everyone

Looking to get into kayak fishing.  Haven't actually bought a kayak yet, working on getting my car rigged up with a rack first (probably shouldn't have sold the truck).  My current plan is to get a smaller kayak with the thought that the lighter and easier it is to handle, the more I'm likely to use it.  Hoping to hit the local lakes and delta.  Unfortunately, I've let life kind of get in the way the past several years and fishing has taken a back seat.  And I'm hoping this will help re-light the fire.  The Slayer Propel 10 is currently at the top of my list, with maybe a Lure 10 V2 if I decide to go paddle or electric.  Inventory supply during these times may dictate otherwise.  I've owned and fished a lot from boats but kayaks have always intrigued me.  I've done a little paddling around with rented kayaks but that is about it.  Anyway, enough about me.  I look forward to hanging out here to learn and maybe even provide some value.

Welcome, Nick
Make sure to try kayak before you purchase, if possible.
Many different options to carry a kayak on your car.  I carry Hobie Outback or Oasis on my Subaru Outback without any difficulty.
I live in West Sacramento and you are welcome to check out my gears.

that Slayer 10 looks like a GREAT boat!  i kinda want one!  like you, i just got back into fishing.  buying a kayak, made a profound difference in my fishing.  i go ALL THE TIME.  local lakes and the Delta.  yup.  living where we live if there is one thing:  i think there are TOO MANY freshwater fishing options for us.  it is daunting trying to decide where to go.  the Delta alone is a minefield of opportunity.    now add in the lakes.  all the Mother Lode lakes, Clearlake, Berryessa, Shasta..GAH!!  i find work gets in the way.
