Hello everyone! Newbie kayak fisherman over here. Just been at it for about 4 months now and I'm hooked! I've been fishing lakes, aqueducts, and reservoirs for most of my life, but the salt is a whole new addiction. Plus, nothing beats the taste of fresh rockfish and dungeness crab! So far the crab season has been lousy to me though out at Half Moon Bay. Any tips to get more crab in the traps and onto the dinner table would be super appreciated.

Thanks all!

Welcome! and good luck out there!
One only needs two tools in life: WD-40 to make things go, and Duct tape to make them stop.

Welcome! Made a trip to hmb in November, hear the crabbing is just all arouuund slow this year. Managed to get one dunngie. Felt like the buffet of different baits really did the trick.
Best of luck!
