Does anyone know a good way to remove prescription labels from the see-through orange medicine bottles. It would be a shame to toss them. They'd make great storage units for terminal tackle. My bottles, in particular, are from the V.A., which uses a glue that holds with a death grip.

What up Hojo, long time no post.

I don't know if it would work or not but how about something like nail polish remover?

I can usually just peel the label right off but when that doesn't work, I use GOO GONE!  Awesome awesome stuff.  It can be found at most any grocery/drug store.  Hope it works.

Angel, I'll try anything once. If the nail polish remover doesn't work, I'll donate the rest of the bottle to Liz.

Just got back from the 5-day tuna trip. No tuna...nada...nil...zero. But lots of big yellowtail and dorado, including halibut, calico bass, bonito, barracuda, etc. You could see the tuna (albacore & yellowfin) on the radar, but they wouldn't bite. I caught 12 yellowtails and 6 dorado but lost one of each at the dock during sorting time.

Took today off to process the fish I brought home. I think I should have gone to work. My neighbor across the street sideswiped my once brand new Tacoma while backing out of his driveway.

Sorry to hear about the Tacoma and also about the no Tuna...but yellowtail, dorado, halibut, etc.. are nothing to frown at.

Aside from all of that tasty fish, judging from what I know about the crew you went with I'm sure you had a great time.  Can't wait to see some pics.

Try soaking in amonia to remove the glue. It takes a little while to soak.

Let them just soak in hot water. The labels will peel right off. After that take a paper towel, spray some WD-40 on it and use it to clean off the residue from the labels. I do this all the time and it works just fine.

99% IPA works wonders if you can get some.

Also - ear drops that are used when you have water in your ears is mostly 99% IPA...if you happen to have some laying around.

GOO GONE is absolutely the best way to remove the labels. I always have a bottle of it around the house. It works well when I need to remove tape "goo" from rod blanks, dried on bugs on the front of my truck, or basically anything that is stuck to something else that needs to be removed. I love that stuff!
