Thanksgiving Fishing- Madhouse, or empty?

I'll be honest- this year, I fully forgot about the holiday until this morning. Usually I'm the one who hosts the whole family and does all the cooking. Not this year, we're all staying in our separate locales. Oh well!

Since I have the day open now I was thinking about fishing and scouting out new spots, maybe check out some piers, but I am worried about crowds.

In your expert opinions, does the holiday bring droves of people out, or is everyone at home earning WAF points? 

In a normal year, you can generally expect empty.  Who knows what will happen this year.  With the number of people outdoors now, the masses may try to be sneakin out for some am fun......but I doubt it.
