Does anyone know of a good reel cleaning/repair service near San Jose?

I tried my first surf launch yesterday, and it was a total disaster.  I flipped and my reel ended up getting a ton of sand in it.

It was the only rod I had, so I tried using it and might have damaged it.  New Daiwa Lexa, first time out and never used and its toast unless I can find someone to fix it.

Any help would be appreciated!

No breakdown vids on YouTube?  Daiwa might do it...that reel is a tank I’ve heard so I doubt you wrecked it...Alan Tani is the resident reel slayer but you’ll have to look him up.  He’s famous in this forum.  Hope it works out.  Sand and sea lions are the enemy... :smt006

At least you didn't lose your setup! I got yarded today coming back in. I had removed my reel and put it in the front hatch. I had too much in my front hatch and it didn't seal. I think when I flipped it back over it came out somehow. New SX Avet :smt010 I loved that reel! So bummed
A jerk at one end of the line waiting for a jerk at the other end.
