Spining Rod For Stripers

Hello everyone.  I am looking for a recommendation on a spinning rod primarily for fishing striped bass in the delta.  I want to get my line wet at Big Break as soon as possible. I am primarily a lake fisherman but want to venture out into some larger fish.  I recently hammered the kokanee in Tahoe and really have the itch to get out and fish.

Do yourself a favor and drive the extra couple miles to Sherman Lake. I had a very good day there yesterday

Thank you for the advice on Sherman Lake.  Any recommendations on a rod/reel?  Again I am new to striper fishing but am excited to get out there.

Any mh bass rod will work reel size 2500-3000. If your into castings a lot  2000 size reel probably preferred.

Thanks, that helps.  I was going to buy a tank I think and pair it with a 4000 reel.
