The wifey surprised me with a Lowrance Hook Reveal 7x for Father’s Day. What mount do you all recommend? Thanks in advance.

Yakattack fish finder mount would be the best, little bit pricey though.

+1.  That's what I use.  Like the quick disconnect feature for transporting.

Ram mount is great! Super secure and extremely adjustable.  It's easy to take off for transport too. very low profile

Keep in mind the yakattak can only be mounted on gear tracks. Do you have existing gear tracks or space on deck to install the one included? I like the ram mount/arm because it can also be mounted on Scotty mounts with a specific adapter.

Looks like a ram mount since I already have a 1-1/2” ball mounted and do not have a rail for the yakattack system. Do you guys go with aluminum or the composite mount?

Don't bother with the composite mount - I have a YakAttack rod holder at the bottom of Tomales Bay thanks to the flex in that track (and my careless drag setting).

I have the YakAttack mount for that finder too - If I had it to do over again, I would go with the RAM ball for adjustability - but the quick release and stow is a nice feature.
