This past Wednesday I went on a fishing trip at Bodega Bay with Dan916. We each got one ling each and assorted rock fish. Congrats to Dan for his 11 lbs 34 in ling, myself, well just got a legal size. For those new to NCKA, use this forum to link up with other fisherman if you plan to be OTW. I posted an inquiry on NCKA site and got an immediate response from Dan916.

Fishing was fine, but the exchange and sharing of information is worth going with another fisherman not to mention buddying up makes for a safer trip. :smt006 :smt001

It was a nice day out. Water was pretty choppy outside the bay. The fleet were all 8-10 miles off shore for salmon. We went out about 3 miles and weren’t marking any bait so we decided to put plan B into action and just fish for rockcod. The rockcod we kept were pretty good sized and I caught and released 3 undersized lings as well as a few smaller rockcod. Then my last fish for the day was this nice 34” lingcod. It was getting rough out there so we headed in.

Oh yah! Rockcod and lings are her favorite! I take her fishing and she loves it. She also likes going duck hunting. Can’t wait for her to be a little taller so I can take her on my friends party boat! Probably next year she will be good to go! She still has a ways to go until she can handle a kayak but if you ask her she will say she is ready now lol
