Intro

Hello NorCalAnglers,

I have been searching for a kayak fishing group/forum in hopes of connecting with local kayak fishermen, and I think I finally found it.  My name is Dean Katlik and I'm NEW to kayak fishing.  I recently bought a old town top water 120 pdl fishing kayak.  I currently have it stored up in Truckee, CA at my cabin.  I would really like to get to know some local kayak fishermen in hopes of finally getting out on the water in the Bay Area.  I'm excited to meet up.

Welcome to NCKA Dean.  You joined the right group.  When all this SIP gets lifted, I plan on hitting some of the lakes up in the Truckee area.

Welcome to NCKA Dean. The group events have been canceled but once the SIP order is lifted we will at the local bay spots in force. The power boaters call us the plastic NAVY. Lots of good places to launch on the bay. Oyster Point, Alameda Rock Wall (Encinal), Ferry Point are some of more popular spots. Check out the “Safety First” for must haves when going in the bay or ocean.
