I spent last night watching a bunch of videos on DieHardFishing's YouTube channel and came across one where he was catching squid (looked like Monterey area). I was wondering if anyone has caught squid in the Pacifica or Half Moon Bay Area. I'm sure they're out there, but I don't know anyone who has done it. It would be nice to save a couple bucks on bait, plus I love eating them. Any info or tips on catching them here would be appreciated.

Used to catch squids around MB area in May-July time frame using Sabiki or squid jigs.  Also caught squids and baby Octopus in Santa Cruz in Summer.  Look for the birds feeding and they're near by.

Me too,  banana. I want to catch squid. And Diehard must be local to be able to launch out of Monterey, no?

I'm not sure, I know where I live (Pacifica, San Mateo County), we're supposed to stay within five miles of our house. That leaves me pretty much Linda Mar and Rockaway, but conditions haven't really permitted me to go out in the past week. Hoping for some nicer conditions coming up. I want to give the squid fishing a shot maybe in the middle of rock fishing.
