Hahhaaa go Eddie,
as I save up money for another kayak, probably a pedal yak ...bad spiffy bad   :smt005  :smt044
Yeah boddy!  I've put so many miles paddling against current and wind maintaining that steady core machine of ergonomic, which I am sure benefits my standing occupation, that I refuse to "upgrade."  I've peddled on a tandem with Malibu and enjoyed the optional manual motoring but I am reminded of a center knee pressure of old that feels like a nail through my center kneecap on my left knee.  Also, the times I did pedal, my legs were not prepared and I cramped like silent torture several times per trip.  I am sure that subsides with muscle memory.  Originally I did not seek pedal style due to resemblance of sea lion flipper attraction of said landlord.  No one is paying rent right now anyway... :smt005...it would be interesting to see in the future if the pedal system would heal my knee from time spent but not likely.  I hope you get on the water sooner than later... :smt006

By the way, welcome to the community, soon to be future kayak slayer, Alan of the North Blood Crest... :smt006
