So I live on the golf course at Greenhorn creek.  They closed the course last week so no golf for me or anyone else.  But that means the ponds are open.  Lived here for 2 years and never really gave it much thought especially with Melones so close.  In the last 3 days I have caught and released over 30 bass and some huge ass bluegill.  Biggest bass so far was just under 3 pounds .  Anything works so it’s real fun to try some of the oddest lures I have never used.  They bite everything but the old worm on a bobber is king.  It’s fun to jump in the golf cart and pond jump catching bass at every stop.  Stay safe everyone and we will get though all of this....

Entertainment is where you find it. Shhhh, enjoy it while you can.

When I was a kid, I mean like 55yrs ago now that I think of it, for a little while I had access to a couple ponds in the foothills near San Andreas, the bass were stunted at like 10-12 inches, but the Bluegill were plentiful from babies up to the occasional 10-12 incher. Not kidding really old fish the size of a dinner plate and absolutely beautiful. Thanks for kicking up that memory.

When I use to golf, I carried a cut down rod in my putter slot.  Golf courses are great places to fish as long as you don't get caught.
So long and thanks for all the fish!!!

I was really surprised to hear that private courses shut down to people that live on the course. We have several friends at Pasadera that are bummed they can't play in their backyard. Golf is a pretty socially distanced sport so long as you have your own cart =) Glad you're making use of the ponds! I miss being a kid with access to the private bass ponds. There is nothing they won't bite!

There's definitely a fish under THIS rock....
