Got a new rig (well, back in August) and am wondering if anyone knows what the below part is for.  Old Town Sportsman PDL 120.  It's mounted at the front of the bay that the propeller sits in.  I forgot to ask the guy when I bought it:

Yes, remove the plate, mount the transducer on the mounting plate, then place the mount back into your kayak with the original screws.
