Ill be camping at Sunset and launching at Moss Tues & Wed at dawn. Reports indicate the salmon are around the Soquel Hole/ Three Trees, thats a long ass paddle from Moss but Ive got to get out there. Planning on trolling the canyon edges towards Soquel Hole.

Company welcome, Adam

What exactly is the GPS coordinates for Soquel hole.  Just how long a paddle we talking here?

Change of plans. Ill be launching out of Santa Cruz harbour Tues, dawnish. Bayside and Chartle's numbers out of Santa Cruz were better today. Bite is in about 250 ft of water, about a 5 - 6 mile paddle from the harbour, definetly doable, but still a long ass paddle.

see you there, Adam

Pat,
Soquel Hole is almost due south out of the SC harbor.  Sorry no GPS Coords, but 5-6 sounds about right.  That is a HELL OF a long way.  The ride back is usually uphill, making the paddle seem twice as far.

The "hole" is actually part of the canyon.

Thanks Stuart.  I am beginning to think that the hole is around 36'52/121'58.
I am listening to the radio and hear a boat with two "in the box" who is "only" about 5 miles out from SC harbor.  It's foggy again this morning down here (Monterey)
I wish they would come in closer, but one more try might be worth it.
