I am tempting to go noodle safe with my kayak, so giving up some storage is not a huge sacrifice.  I remember getting my kraken new I wanted more storage and I thought the thick foam inside was packing so I threw it out and had to call and ask for a newb replacement.  They probably have me flagged at Jackson as a permanewb...
On another note, I cannot decide if I prefer carbonara or ramen...it’s still winter isn’t it?... :smt006

I'm thinking about noodles as well. Both types.
"Permanewb" made me laugh. Thanks.

In all humility it would be a good mindset, always learning, never taking anything for granted, and asking all kinds of questions without using the search bar.  Let’s do this!  Oh, back to the topic so as not to thread jack...carbonara or ramen? :smt005 :smt006

They say the permanewb mindset is a key to eternal happiness.... so take both, but on alternating nights, cause ramen and carbonara don’t belong at the same table....

I always put bacon in my crab fried rice, I can not see why it would be any worse in pasta!

Hey Guys-
This might be worth considering: I have a half dozen stowed along the gunnels as many recommend but beyond 6 the internal space gets too cramped inside my OK Prowler 15. In my experience noodles dry out and become less effective over time so consider to check them and replace them as needed every season. Ive also taken to using large lobster trap bouys. They are much more durable and can be saw cut into custom shapes or split in half for balanced distribution etc. Yes there’s a bit more weight and I do marine goop them into place but I find they work great and last a much longer time (so far a one time purchase and install) and I believe are more bouyant overall. Other than that foam supply companies have really dense material that can also be shaped to fit and act as a bulkhead but that can get costly and really
limit storage options although very effective as well.
In total Ive got the 6 noodles and 4 bouy floats with 95% hull storage
available and peace of mind that Ive got a fighting chance if things go
south while out there.

This is what a Trident Ultra 4.7 looks like in heavy seas (without Pool Noodles).

Sad but true

Puncture resistant is a good feature.

Didn’t the Innkeeper use a food saver roll to make pods of noodles? That seems like it might be a good way to keep em from getting funky

In my (now Sledge's) Hobie Revo-13,
I was able to fit 20 noodles comfortably inside the hull.
I bundled in groups of 5 and sealed in vacuum bags.  I was able to place one bundle down each side from both the front and back. This allowed for easy removal and cleaning, even flotation front to back and side to side, and allowed the use of the front and center hatches.
I would post pictures, but the yak is now owned by Sledge, maybe if he sees this post he could post up.
;0)
We had to pull a bunch of those out of his hull to fix his rudder/control lines.  Still not sure how you got them all in there, we had to cut the bags open in the rear hatch to remove them  :smt044  Careful of them rudder/control lines ;)
