Be aware if you go that you need a special permit to get into the cove.

I don't think they are available anymore........

Yup, I heard from Chuck that you had to pre register your kayak and get a permit from the coast guard to paddle out to the cove........

Went yesterday during batting practice and the Home Run derby.  I can only describe it as INSANITY although somebody in todays Merc called it "a floating frat party" which was a very accurate description.  Have a few pics that I need to transfer to the computer at which time I will post.

I just google earth'd candlestick, where exactly do the homerun balls land in the water?  The water is not close the park at all.  I know the balls can and do get hit into the water, but geeze to hit either area where the water is, thats a lot of force!

Try Google Earthing (?) AT&T Park. The water's closer to it.  :smt002

Only fall in Right Field and seemed like the permits were less handed out on the AllStar Day then the Home Run Derby.  NL loses again...only 10 times in a row.  Wait until Bonds ties or breaks it.  Only, I don't think it will be a water shot.  Probably go to left or center .
