Hi Hi,

My name is Hung and I'm a new member here in SF.  I've been kayak crabbing for the last few years on a tandem with my girlfriend.  She got me a solo kayak (hobie quest 11) this year for Xmas and wanted to try to some fishing, hopefully lingcod, rockfish, and halibuts for starters.  I'm looking to join/find a community with local knowledge and some friendly folks to go fishing with.

Made it out to HMB last Saturday for some crabbing to test out my new kayak.  Didn't stray too far from the jetty since I'm trying to get a feel for the new ride and their was some swells, but then again I didn't have to.  Ended up getting my limit with 2 pulls (3 traps) after an hour each soak and all around 6 1/4 to 6 1/2 inches.

Here are some photos in my tandem (red Kona) and in my solo (green Quest) crabbing.

Sorry, for some reason the pics ended up in the wrong orientation.  On my computer they were in the proper orientation.  Will have to get used to this and figure it out

Welcome to the madness Hung!

Baker Beach is such a great place for pictures with the Golden Gate in the background!

if you're getting limits out of HMB you must know what you're doing ;)

Rockfish season starting around the corner.
