Looking for options on mounting a GoPro to a Trident 13.

I fly fish and I can tangle a line in rigging faster than you can blink, so I'm looking to mount it behind me and to my left, extending outward a foot or two and forward to about parallel to my ear.  That location shouldn't interfere with casting.

I don't want to use a track mount (see above about blinking an eye) and would prefer adding a spline mount or going back to carrying a milk crate.

I'm asking before I start drilling only to find it won't work, so any thoughts, suggestions, or "Here's ow I do it" advice would be appreciated.

Check out the Railblaza camera boom. It will mount into any of their starport mounts and has the articulation built into the boom so you can adjust how the camera is angled.

Thank you, I will.  I'm not sure it will put the camera in the position I want it in, but I like the locking features on the boom and the mounts.  So you have any idea if the poles they use are compatible with a regular PVC fitting (I might need a 45-degree elbow to get in the right place).

I appreciate this - I didn't know Railblaza was making anything with a spline attachment.

Not sure if it will work with standard PVC fittings. If you need more bends you could always add the RAILBLAZA Adjustable Extender:

Or if you need length you could use the Railblaza EXTENDA POLE 1000
