Great read, couldn’t put it down!

Here’s a vid of Ed Gillet on Carson about a week after landing on Maui

This book made me feel like the novice I truly am. Sure, I feel comfortable being on a kayak in the ocean, but not comfortable enough to sleep inside one for over a month!  It was a good, quick read. Thanks for the recommendation.

I recently finished the book as well.  Amazing what a devoted kayaker can accomplish in the harshest of conditions. Humbling as well... I think back to a few trips where I was tired, or caught in the wind and struggling to get back to the harbor. Cake walk compared to what Ed and the others endured!
We're gonna need a bigger boat!
