This picture came to my attention. The caption says Chinook salmon, but it looks like a trout to me. Thoughts?

Sure looks like a trout to me. Mouth/head wrong for salmon, spots and color look wrong too.

I’m actually sure that is a trout. I would wager money on it  :smt044

Look at this video at 5:19. Doesn't the coloration on the fish in the picture and these two spawning kings look pretty similar?
I agree though that the mouth looks trouty. It's hard to tell if the tongue is black.

This picture came to my attention. The caption says Chinook salmon, but it looks like a trout to me. Thoughts?

I know it looks very strange but I'm pretty sure that's a Chinook salmon. Sometime it raise in the freshwater or stay in the fresh water too long their color (pigmentation) get very weird...
I've been seeing more than hand full of Chinook that look like that in the picture and they're all genetically confirmed.

The anal fin isn’t in focus, but looks slanted like a Chinook.
