I park in the first lot closes to the wharf.  If you have a cart, folding cart or ice chest with wheels.  It really helps.  Still a long walk from the parking lot to the boat.  Longer, coming back with fish.  They also have free ice on the dock.

You can ask the deckhand if you can keep you cart on the boat...out of the way or chain it to the fence or pole on the second deck of the wharf.

John,

No problem.  I hope it helps.  What are you going to fish for?  Salmon,  Rockcod or Tuna?

hi Ken,

we will be just doing a rockfish trip next week. My father in law is coming from Europe and he has not been on a fishing boat before. we rented skiffs at capitola once but i wanted him to enjoy a bigger boat this time.

i chose rockfish because its not like chasing salmon and halibut can be spotty at times. rockfish is just plain fun and someone's should get something pretty much.

saturday were hitting the sur coast with kayaks for some fishing action as well. i hope the wind is down or we'll just cruise some inshore kelp beds.

the reports look pretty good for swell and such but wind is a definite factor this weekend.

Good Luck with the Rockcod.   Maybe bring some squid, anchovies or herrring.  Tip the hook with this.
