Viking shield side project

So, I had a wonderful wooden cable spool table that finally succumbed to a dozen winters outside. When I tried to move it all the spool slats fell out and the entire thing collapsed. Since I had varnished the top all I was left with was a heavy disk of wood planks.
Not one to throw anything away that could be repurposed, I used a few bits of sheet steel and a brass knob to build this Viking-style shield to decorate our firepit area.
The two raven head silhouettes represent Huginn and Muninn, Odin't trusty, all-seeing pair of ravens.
I liked it so much I've got two more in the works, but the new ones will be traditional butted plank, clinched nail construction with iron bosses.

Might come in Useful during late night Bonfire Shenanigans 

That is cool, and will definitely come in handy if the Visigoths ever attack...
