I was looking for something like this and bought a set after I saw Chet’s post. One of the three that came in the set didn’t lock— the inner barrel could spin and let go of the line. In my opinion they are poorly engineered and overpriced, but I will still use them until I find something better.

It has polarity of some sort. One side supposed to go on rod tip. Make sure you put it in right side.
