I'm looking for replacement nets for a couple of old hoops I have. I left them out while my shed was being torn down and rats chewed up the netting.

Can anyone suggest where to get replacement nets? I think the hoops are 30" diam.

did a search on this here and all I found was a post from 2013 that suggested Janns, but I didn't see any replacements of that size.

I'm keen to get the old hoops back into my crabbing weaponry.

You can make the net easily, think macrame. First, tie the big hoop up by it's harness so it is parallel to the ground at height that is easy to work on. Then loop a long piece of twine around the top hoop every few inches so that there are Then 2 long ends hanging down. Then tie one end from one to the next one over and keep repeating that around and around. Make holes progressively smaller until the mesh is as deep as you want and the same diameter as the lower ring. Then just tie the mesh to the smaller hoop. You can make the mesh deeper than commercial hoop nets which I think makes it better for kayaks.
