After a lifetime of various chartered fishing trips and destinations, I have just now discovered kayak fishing. Not sure what took so long? But I made it!
So after a quick online search I found I could get not one, but TWO kayaks for around $800 at Costco. This is great! I can afford this!! Nooo problem!
But then my son-in-law said "make sure you get one with pedal drive". (uh...there's such a thing?)
So...$2800 later, I now have a brand new 2019 Hobie Outback. And the funny thing...so does he!! He couldn't stand it and he got one too.
So we look forward to meeting some of you fine folks and learning some tips and tricks, and making new friends!
Zane
p.s. I have a great family with grandkids and we enjoy coastal camping and outdoor activities. I'm also a SCUBA diver so wanna try that in some of those "hard to reach" spots.

Welcome,

SCUBA off the yak is not difficult but it is time consuming. Other than tethering everything down and making sure you didn't forget anything you just need patients.

There's a learning curve of how to don your BC in the water, entering and exiting the water etc. But after you've done it a couple of times it's a piece of cake.

If you ever need some tips feel free to PM me.
