It finally laid down here, and I made the last minute decision to hit the water-  On the water by 7:00 off by 1:00.  The wind never came up- and you could hear and see for miles.  Condition-wise it was probably one of my best days ever.  Highlights included being downwind from breathing gray whales (quite stinky), dolphins and steady catches of blues, blacks and gophers.  Also landed a 23 3/4 in ling, an undersize cab, various browns and the 4 vermilion in the pic.  Caught at least 40 fish, all released except for the ones in the pic.

Squid saved the day-  You could tell when you were stripped of squid, because the bite would end.  All fish were caught on 2-3 oz lead heads and kalin grubs

Nice looking fish. Glad the weather/conditions were so good for you.

Squid almost always saves the day, it must suck to be a squid.

Squid as the burrito of the sea?  I had a friend who called them dog condoms!

BTW Cambria is south of Big sur and San Simeon and N or Morro Bay/Cayucos

They were good size- Heres my size 12 foot for reference!
