Ha!  Aptly put, John.  I just wanna move from swimming to fishing... But yeah, gotta love the Pro!  I'm trying to get another one new before they're all gone.  Hard to find them used in virgin condition (if that makes sense).   Scott Thornley has the right idea, collecting them.

I got an RTM Tempo and it's great but there are just a couple minor idiosynchracies that would drive me nuts - did i mention I am a bit neurotic?  So I think I'm going to sell it for like 800 or so.

Ben, you're right.  I have had my eye on a VHF at WM for the past several months.  I am scraping up the $150 for it hopefully in the next month or two.  I just got a rod leash, too.   Good calls, thanks!

Actually, John is the Scupper Pro collector here. I've just got the one Scupper, looking for a second Pro or for a T160 2-hatch.

What are the niggling items that bug you about the RTM? PM me if this is sensitive info.

Scott

Oh I thought you were collecting them Scott.  Well, you and John have the right ideas.

It's not sensitive info.
1) Bow hatch - it's fixed to the yak at the back of the hatch instead of the front.  Also it's gasketed on the lid and the yak both, like, it could come close to vacuum sealing, it's so gasketed.  As a result, the hatch opening is a bit smaller.
2) The seatwell is about 5/8" shallower and seems a bit wider (and no seat scuppers - neutral item).  This may be good for wider people who want a drier ride in calm conditions, but the deeper seatwell of the Pro just fits me personally very well.
3) The compass mount and little mini-wells in front of the forward footwells are gone, so rigging would be different than what I am used to.
4) The rear tankwell is teardrop-shaped, not squared off, and it's a bit shallower and smaller.

On the plus side
1)  Deck fittings are nice stainless d-rings and molded in (could have used a few more maybe)
2)  Boat feels even more solid and sturdy, and tighter than the Pro

I have yet to paddle it but expect performance to be nearly identical (others paddling both have said so).

scott, you are nutty enough to paddle the cobra expedition. 18' of pure speed!

basically two hatches.

little on the expensive side tho.

We met John "eagle eye" at the first HMB Derby...he was kind enough to let a few of us test paddle his fully rigged Expedition......talk about "tippy"  :smt118 ...especialy with the live bait tank  :smt011 But, like everything else, in time, you just get used to it  :smt002....I guess  :smt002

The Expedition is pretty darn close to what I'm looking for, but from what I have heard, stowing rods would be pretty iffy if the chop was up. I don't do bait tanks, so a large source of instability wouldn't be an issue in my case.

If one were to come on the market cheap, I might be willing to give it a whirl :)

I didn't see their Expedition in the racks during the derby, but didn't look all that closely. Do they still have one?

I remember seeing one before the derby.....maybe they sold it? (they do sell new and used yaks - just found out about that)
