I just got out of the water, and as of 7 pm Monday eve. we were catching salmon within 50 yards of the moss landing mile bouy (on a boat).  Definately yakable.  There was wind but it began to die as the evening progressed and was looking like it would be very nice in the morning.  We ended up catching about 13 fish with 6 keepers to about 10 lbs over 4 hours.  We also lost 3. One silver was tossed back.

The fish were shallow, with the majority coming on a purple haze flasher with a white hoochie.  We also got a couple on a black and white apex. Apparently the Kahuna had limits today mooching.  Lots of small fish, but lots of action.

Good luck to anyone who goes.

I was thinking of fishing Wednesday, just didn't know where.  The swell and wind are supposed to be down.  Before your report, the choice was between Capitola flatties and SWS rockies.  Now I think I'll check today's Coastside reports and head south, stop at Moss and check conditions, go out there if I can; if not, head to SWS.  Ch 69

I sure felt like there was a lot of fish out there, so I hope so too.  There was a ton of birds working the water and about a half dozen humpbacks doing the same. Of the 15 years I have been fishing on the bay, I have never seen so much bird and whale action. This was happening all around us and as far as you could see to Mulligans.

Just talked to my buddy who is out at the bouy.  He is mooching right next to the kahuna, and says they have landed 6 fish that they could see.  He has lost one as of now mooching.  Less birds less bait.
