It's an awesome feeling to catch a fish on a fly you tied, and even the ugliest woolly bugger will probably still catch fish.  In fact, the uglier the better ...

It can also be an amazing creative outlet in and of itself, and from personal experience rather addicting :)  But also very relaxing.  Enjoy !

6/0 Barbless Circle Hooks
Nice looking shrimp flies!

Be careful, though. Those aren’t circle hooks by DFW’s definition. (In other words, don’t use those with bait if you have a salmon on board.)

Trick question lol

 :smt005

The difference between a conventional circle hook and an octopus circle hook is the bend of the eye,the difference between the traditional octopus hook and the circle octopus hook is the bend of the point of the hook.
(as long as that 90* angle is there and barbless ..good to go for Salmon )..crazy I was naughty and careless I mixed them in my excitement  :smt044  then there`s a J style shank with a barbed circle and then there`s ......gotta pay attention lol

Dude, it's looking better and better each batch.

I just got my Dad's old fly tying stuff, still just working through all the memories and old stuff so far, haven't gotten to tying anything up.  but I've been watching some videos on some easier shrimp flies, and some realistic ones, those realistic ones are sick looking.

Not to shabby Vic, look up the Teeny Nymph it's not very difficult and will work on all the fish that swim in the Russian.
